About This Recipe
Paneer popcorn is the vegetarian answer to chicken nuggets, and making them in the air fryer keeps them light and crispy without the deep-frying oil. Marinated in a spicy yogurt mix and coated with crunch, these bites are perfect for game nights or as a tea-time snack. High in protein and totally addictive!
Ingredients
- 200g paneer, cut into small cubes
- 2 tbsp thick yogurt (curd)
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
- ½ tsp chaat masala
- ½ tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ cup cornflour or breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp oil (for brushing)
- Salt to taste
Method
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, chaat masala, and salt. Toss the paneer cubes in this mixture gently.
- Roll each marinated paneer cube in cornflour or breadcrumbs until fully coated. Shake off excess.
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the paneer in a single layer in the basket. Brush lightly with oil.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of extra chaat masala and serve immediately with mint chutney or ketchup.
